A coffee scale measures the precise amount of coffee so you can brew the tastiest cup.
It’s hard to manage dosing by eye, and measuring spoons aren’t always accurate enough either, which is why a coffee scale is an essential. For example, to brew espresso, you need at least 7 grams of freshly ground coffee. When brewing instant coffee, you need about 54 grams of coffee for one litre of water. So these are numbers that are not easy to hit without a good weight.
