You probably don’t see nitro coffee on your coffee shop’s menu. Yet. The brewing method is becoming quite popular and we don’t give it long before you can enjoy a cup of nitro coffee at the local.

Some might say that nitro coffee is a technical brewing method, most reminiscent of a trip to the physics classroom. The name of the method certainly does. However, it is not quite like that.

Nitro coffee is cold-brewed coffee to which nitrogen has been added. It may sound crazy, but it’s not. It is very common to add gas to soft drinks. You’ve tasted soda before, right?

Nitro coffee is a silky and bubbly sensation in the mouth. The nitrogen in the coffee creates these little bubbles that don’t disturb the experience, but add a delicate texture. Some like to enjoy nitro coffee neat, while others add a little syrup to the cup. Of course, there are also creative souls who have created cocktails with nitro coffee as the foundation for the lively and delicious experience in the glass.
